Born Evans Owusu, upcoming Afro-pop artiste, Sorgor has indicated that he would like to stage with Angelique Kodjo and Nsundu Ndore on an international concert as his love for African music keeps heightening.

With inspirations coming from Nsundu Ndore, Salif Keita and Baba Malle, Sorgor indicated that his mother had been his source of encouragement when he decided to follow the steps of his late father.

“My mother has been very supportive when I took the step of my late father to join the music world, as my father who was a guitarist and also was a member of the African Brothers International Band died when I was 15 years,” the upcoming Afro-pop artiste said.

Meanwhile, Sorgor, who started singing 10 years ago and also plays the Jambe and Shaka instruments has performed with Ace Ghanaian musicians like Darko, Pat Thomas and Kwabena Kwabena during the AU Day and Femi Kuti at The Banquette Hall in 2013 respectively.

He also performed with Castro and Pope Skinny at the National Theater and on TV3’s Music Music this year; Kesskesse Band at the Eden Tree at Spintex and Ghana Music week with Afro Moses at Obra Spot.

Sorgor indicated that if he is given options to add another genre, “it will be jazz and rock beside music; I am into modeling and fashion designing as well.”
