International jazz superstar Stephanie Benson has been crowned the “Best Outstanding Woman in Music” at the maiden edition of Ghana Most Outstanding Women Awards, which took place at the Alisa Hotel on Friday, 30 November 2018.
The One More hit maker was nominated alongside her sister Akosua Adjapong, Wiyaala, MzVee, Philipa Baafi, Joyce Blessing and Ethel Esi Ehsun.
The renowned vocalist stirred feelings of admiration in the auditorium when she walked up on stage with her sister Akosua Adjapong to pick up her award.
In her thanksgiving speech, the award-winning singer recounted her three-year battle with breast cancer and how she survived it.
She stated that everything she does is to empower women and plant the seed of thought in their minds that anything they put their mind to can be achieved.
