African American musician, Steve Wonder would perform in Ghana in a charity concert (Steve Wonder Benefit Concert), to raise funds to support under-privileged children in the country.

The concert, which is being organized by Busia Foundation International (BFI), an NGO would be held on the April 3 this year at the International Conference Centre.

Akosua Busia, Founder of Busia Foundation International said on her mothers 70th birthday, Steve Wonder came to Ghana to sing for her and promised to do the same for her on her 80th birthday which falls on the April 5.

The family decided that this time instead of just singing for Mrs. Busia a concert would be organized so that funds raised would be used to buy computers, and books for a mobile library to be driven to the villages to help rural children learn about computers.

She said the concert would also pay tribute to Steve Wonder with a "Sing Stevie Wonder Contest".

The contest would allow Ghanaians to perform any of Steve Wonder songs "to show him that we also love his music" she said. The Winneba Youth Choir, Hewele Sounds, and Alabaster would perform Steve Wonder's song.

Kasapa a mobile phone company has donated twenty fully connected StarTAC phones with all the accessories and over 300 minutes of airtime, worth over ?1.4million to BFI to be used in a raffle "Kasapa Raffle."
