Highlife artiste, Nana Yaw Kumi known popularly as Kumi Guitar has said he does not see the signing of other artistes to Zylofon media as a competition but rather a move to also help him and other upcoming artistes hit the limelight.

According to him, the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofone media has a dream of marketing Ghana’s music to the highest level hence the brain behind signing big acts like Becca, Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing and Obibini.

“Our boss has a dream and the dream is to make us marketable brands. I don’t see my colleagues as a competition but rather a complement in order to also help us make a name like they have done.”

“If my boss wants to put a show-up, he does not have a problem because he has us. We the upcoming artistes could also use the opportunity to win the love of fans of Becca and Stonebwoy through those shows so for me they are not a competition but rather people to help us grow,” he told Kofi Asante on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio.

Kumi after been signed by Zylofon media has released two singles ‘brown Sugar’ and ‘Problem’ which has received massive airplays and has topped several local charts.
