Stonebwoy, SP Kofi Sarpong, others thrill fans at Vodafone Unity Concert

Vodafone Ghana on Friday June 10 thrilled Ghanaian football and music lovers to an amazing night at the National Theater.

The event dubbed Vodafone Unity Concert was hosted in support of the Stephen Appiah Unity football match. The MC’s for the evening were the versatile Nana Ama McBrown and PY Addo Boateng.

Award winning Gospel Musician SP Kofi Sarpong raised the curtain and set the auditorium on fire with hit songs and incredible performances that kept the audience on their feet throughout his performance.

Other artistes including Efya, Gamilla and VVIP did their best to keep the audience dancing with songs like “Getaway", “Telemo", ”Skolom”, “Besen” etc.

A surprise National Anthem by Efya got the fans cheering and singing along to show their patriotism and preparedness to keep Ghana safe and in unity especially as the country prepares to go into the 2016 elections.

Stonebwoy, the star performer of the night came to the stage without his usual Stonebwoy designed tshirt but with an eagle-like shoulder coat and gave a top notch performance with the live band. He gave the audience hit after hit of his songs leaving the audience wanting more.

The event was graced with the presence of ex footballers such as Stephen Appiah, Augustine Ahinful, SOI Campbell, George Boateng, Alex Song, Edgar Davids, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Nwankwo Kanu, William Gallas and a few celebrities such as Panji Annof, Elikem Kumordzi the Tailor and Luther.

After the show patrons who spoke to Ghanaweb expressed their appreciation to Vodafone and Stephen Appiah for the event and advised Ghanaians to keep the unity and peace they have been enjoying as nothing is worth sacrificing the peace of the nation for.
