Following a successful event last year, Ghana’s digital lifestyle brand, Tigo Ghana is back with the 2015 edition of ‘Unplugged’, one of the biggest celebration of music.

Award-wining hiplife and dancehall artists, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, VVIP, Kwaw Kese, EL, Keche and MzVee are billed to entertain and excite Tigo customers and Ghanaians.

They will be joined by Nigeria’s Afro Dancehall musician, Patoranking, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, 28th November 2015.

This year’s edition celebrates the first anniversary of Tigo Music with customers ahead of Christmas. The much-anticipated concert will give customers the chance to see Ghana’s top music talents perform their favourite hit songs.

Speaking at the media launch in Accra, Tigo’s Director of Marketing, Mr. Jesse Agyepong, said: “We made a huge impact on the music industry last year, with the launch of our partnership with Deezer, the international music streaming service. Through our commitment to commercializing music, we have been able to give real value for money to our local artistes and support to the Ghana Music Industry.”

“After the launch of Tigo Music last year, it won the “Most Innovative Product of the Year” at the 2015 Ghana Telecom Award, which shows how relevant, timely and insight driven the Tigo Music brand is.”

He noted: “We are proud of what we have been able to achieve, and the tremendous response we received for it. We’re expecting an even better response this year.”

He explained that the event is targeted at all our customers hence the mixed line-up of artists, adding that, “As always we promise fireworks and intensive partying.”

“We will continue to be part of the music industry because we believe that music delivers a great brand experience. We urge our customers to join us at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for a fun-filled concert,” he stated.

The 2015 Tigo Music Unplugged Concert is supported by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited; Golden Tulip (Kumasi), Africa World Airlines (AWA), TV3, EIB Group, Ultimate FM (Kumasi), Tigomusic.com.gh and DDP.
