IF not the best, one of the best live performers the beautiful West African country with 22 million people Ghana has seen in the past decade, Emmanuel Andrews Samini well known by his stage name Samini believes his proteges, Stonebwoy, and Kofi Kinaata are big boys now and need no advice from him at the moment.
Sitting in an interview with NY DJ on new webisode Behind The Move, Samini who has been credited with the successes of the two talented and award winning artists said he feels super proud of the artists who both started with High-Grade Family.
Asked if he had any advice for the artists as they grow, Samini stated he believes both artists have seen it all as they continue to gather experiences along the way hence did not really need any advice from him although he would always be available to them.
“They don’t really need any advice from me right now… They’ve proven what they’ve learnt already. If I had any advice to give to them, I would have done that already. Obviously, I’ve told them what I need to tell them, how I think they need to conduct themselves. The rest, I leave them to freely create to suit their core following”, he said.
Kofi Kinaata recently picked up two prestigious awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The Awards were Best New Artist and Song Writer of the Year.
Stonebwoy on the other hand has been ranked one of the biggest artists on the African continent and have won several awards including winning Best International Act Africa at BET Awards, AFRIMMA, Artist if the Year at Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and many others.
