Ghanaian Dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy has boycotted the upcoming Zylophon Cash Activation Concert scheduled for Sunday.
Stablemates, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who have recently been in the news for the wrong reasons together with other acts have been billed by their record label on Easter Sunday concert but information gathered by www.ghanacrusader.com is that the 2015 BET award winner won't participate due to the feud between him and management and signees (Shatta Wale and Kumi Guitar) under Zylofon Music.
The concert dubbed Zylofon Cash Activation Concert would be held at the Victoria Park in Aflao is the first of series of the regional launch of Zylofon Cash; a system designed to help individuals to make money out of their talents using the internet.
Talents who are registered on the Zylophone Cash platform would have their videos uploaded on a YouTube channel and paid royalties according to the number of views.
Volta award winning artistes Agbeshie, Keeny Ice, Kasare, Chief One Gh, Nuh Prince and a host of others are also billed to thrill patrons at the concert on Easter Sunday.
It is unclear why Stonebwoy has not abrogated his contract with Zylofon Media as he has been advised by many industry players.
To them it doesn't make much sense to be signed unto a label and keep fighting with them and boycotting their events.
It is high time he left the label and be 'free'.It is public knowledge that Stonebwoy is not happy that Shatta Wale was signed on to Zylofon Music record label and was given a better reception but he needed to have accorded some respect to the company that handles his work.
The act of pulling down the Zylofon Cash banners did not make sense. This is a product that had been launched by his company.
Any well-meaning person would know that even if it is not spelled out in the contract to promote it, it was just right he helped in projecting the smaller brand – the success of Zylofon Cash, by extension feeds into the parent company.
