International reggae, dancehall and afrobeat sensation Stonebwoy has officially endorsed rising dancehall artiste Aklerh as an act to watch in Ghana’s thriving music scene.
In a recent interview with OkayAfrica Channel, Stonebwoy mentioned Aklerh as a standout performer, fresh off her big win as Female Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the maiden edition of the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards.
Aklerh, whose talent and drive have earned her widespread recognition, took home the prestigious award at the event, marking a pivotal moment in her career.
With her hit singles Labadi Gyal and Dancehall Queen, she continues to captivate audiences, solidifying her position as one of the most promising stars in Ghanaian dancehall.
Stonebwoy, who has long been a leader in the genre, responded to a question by the interviewer on the acts to watch in Ghana saying, “Aklerh and the rest…”
Aklerh, filled with gratitude for the endorsement and the award, said, "Winning Female Dancehall Artiste of the Year was an incredible honor. And now, to be recognized by Stonebwoy, someone I’ve always looked up to, is beyond amazing. I’m excited for what’s ahead."
