The most unpopular figure at Zylofon Media, Willi Roi has once again stoked controversy with a comment about Stonebwoy suggesting that the artiste is cheap, abrantepa.com has taken notice.
Willi Roi who is the Head of Zylofon Arts Club (music department) in a Facebook post remarked that Stonebwoy has been receiving peanuts as performance fees and it appears the artiste is content with that.
“While Stone is busy playing cheap gigs for his pocket, Shatta is shooting multi-million videos. Look sharp! Ewe eagle” his post read.
Before this very post, Willi Roi had labelled Stonebwoy as greedy and ungrateful following the latter’s statement that people who would want to engage his services should contact his management instead of Zylofon Music.
“Zylofon will not be hard on Stonebwoy but wait for him to realise the errors of his ways” Roi stated.
“When will Ghana advise Stonebwoy to be smart? This greedy disregard for the breast that feeds you is crazy” another post read.
His comments have been described by a section of the public as reckless and childish. Some have even questioned why the organisation would refuse to dismiss a staff whose utterances always bring its name into disrepute.
In March, management of Zylofon FM asked Willie Roi to stay off all activities on live radio until further notice.
Though reasons for the sanction was not made available to the public, it came on the back of suggestions by listeners of the station that his utterances and commentaries on Facebook were indictments.
Aside chastising Stonebwoy and hailing Shatta Wale who is also signed on to the label, he angrily asked a panelist who was expressing his view on the Stonebwoy-Zylofon Media war to walk out and never step foot in the studio.
Not long ago, there was a scuffle between Stonebwoy and some officials of Zylofon Media when the latter stormed the Champs Bar to retrieve a car purported to have been given him by the label, abrantepa.com recalls.
The clash heightened suggestions that the artiste had left the label over a misunderstanding. Reports had it that Stonebwoy had been to the University of Ghana to perform and at the behest of his management, organisers took off all Zylofon Media banners.
