Controversial Ghanaian male musician, Kwaw Kesse, has described Stonebwoy as the king of dancehall music in Ghana.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Fiifi Pratt on Highlife Paradise on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the musician said Stonebwoy is known across the globe for his works.
Kwaw Kesse said Stonebwoy is the face of dancehall music in Ghana for me. He is blending smoothly with the Jamaicans.”
He indicated that Stonebwoy has been able to break through boundaries and does dancehall music. Jamaicans are the originators of dancehall and for them to accept him, it means he is doing what is right”, he added.
“Stonebwoy deserves some accolades because if what he is doing, ” he noted.
According to him, he recently traveled to the Caribbean and realized Stonebwoy was a household name in that part of the world.
Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy in 2018 set an impressive record at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The artiste, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, celebrated the impressive feat of winning the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award for four years in a roll.
To achieve that historic feat, the 2015 Artiste of the Year’ at the same awards, beat his arch-rival, Shatta Wale, the late Ebony, and Mzvee to win the award.
He was adjudged the winner for the same category for the 2019 VGMA but was stripped of the award due to the fracas between him and Shatta Wale.
