Veteran Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste and media personality Root Eye has praised Stonebwoy for his contributions to the music scene in and out of Ghana.
According to him, Stonebwoy is one of the greatest Ghanaian ambassadors for music.
Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM on August 29, 2024, Root Eye, whose real name is Kwesi Nyarko Ofei, praised Stonebwoy, referring to him as “Honourable Satekla,” for his role in elevating Ghanaian music on the global stage.
“I've stopped calling him Stonebwoy. I'm now calling him Honourable Satekla because, at the moment, he's the greatest Ghanaian music ambassador. This man is taking us to places we never thought we'd reach,” he said.
Root Eye further expressed his admiration, stating, "If we have to be honest, he's actually living the dreams that most of us had but couldn't achieve. We're living our dreams through this guy. So we cannot diminish his contribution or the role that he is playing for us at this moment.”
After his days as a Reggae/Dancehall musician, Root Eye started as a radio presenter with Skyy Power FM in 1997, then moved to Ashh FM in Kumasi from 1999 to 2005.
He later joined Hot FM in Accra and founded Hyphaus, a company managing artists like Reggy Zippy and KK Fosu.
He also worked with Hitz FM and has hosted TV3's "Music Music" for several years.
