Stonebwoy’s latest album ‘Anloga Junction’ is an embodiment of all the influences and experiences that he has gone through over the years as a musician.
The award-winning artiste revealed that ‘Anloga Junction’ is not the name of a specific place but rather an artistic representation of what he has been through.
Stonebwoy released his 15-track album on Friday to impressive reviews from Ghanaians and the world.
The album features artistes like Kojo Antwi, Jahmeil (Jamaica), Zlatan (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Nasty C (South Africa), Chivv (Netherlands), and Alicai Harley (Jamaica-born London-based).
Sharing the inspiration behind the album and its name, the artiste told Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360 on TV3 that ‘Anloga Junction’ is an ‘epic’ body of work.
“This album has gone through a lot to get to this point…We’ve gone through a lot to get to ‘Anloga Junction’. We’ve released an epic body of work.”
He explained that the name of the album is “just a representation of the influences that I have gone through or that I have been through and learnt from the African soil and the rest of the world as well”.
“So the ‘Junction’ as an English word just signifies and stands for the exposure and the experience and the travail and stuffs that we’ve been able to do and learn from the Western world and the ‘Anloga’ stands for the rest of Africa,” he added.
The BHIM Nation boss further noted that contrary to perceptions, ‘Anloga Junction’ is “not really directed at my hometown…I just chose words that will sit well and be able to explain…it’s an art form so you have to be creative with it as well”.
Stonebwoy was very appreciative of his fans and Ghanaians for the support they have given him so far.
While he loves all the songs on the album, the artiste told Giovani Caleb that he always picks his favourite depending on his mood but his favourite currently is ‘Nominate’, featuring two-time Grammy-nominated artiste Keri Hilson.
He premiered the ‘Nominate’ video on the show.
