Stop Ignoring Choreographers, we deserve better - Freshagidi

With this year's 4syte TV Music Video Awards fast approaching, dancers and choreographers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the way one category - The Best Choreography Category - has been handled for some time now.

Speaking to Georgebritton.com, Freshagidi, one of Ghana's budding dancer/choreographer who choreographed many music videos including the recent Nyedzilo by Edem, voiced out his thoughts and that of many other dancers on the matter.

“Choreographers don't get acknowledged for their hard work; we are one of the core components of a successful music video. It's high time we get the recognition due us,” he stated.

He believes that category should be dedicated to the dancers and choreographers and not just the artiste or directors and that dancers equally play a huge role in a music video.

Fresh wants choreographers given the recognition and respect they have earned over the years impacting the music industry with their craft stressing that their silence on the matter has gone on for far too long
