Gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong who is known for giving weird titles to his songs has criticized colleague gospel artistes for performing songs of other gospel musicians during live worship events.

Speaking on Hitz FM, award winning gospel artiste said most of the songs regarded as worship songs are not worship songs.

He queried why gospel musicians are unable to sing their own songs during live worship show on radio and Tv. He said this is his reason why he hates ‘Live Worship’.

According to Acheampong, artistes from other genres perform their own songs at events.

“Most of the songs regarded as worship songs are not worship songs. What I hate is the word ‘Live worship’. Why do gospel musicians perform other artistes songs rather than theirs? You won’t find Amakye Dede performing Paa Bobo’s songs. Wailing and crying is not worship.” Omane Acheampong.

Nicholas Omane Acheampong has been in the music industry for several decades, with good songs from his camp, and has won many awards to his credit due to his hard work in the music industry.
