Dancehall king Shatta Wale has lashed out at Nigerians and fellow Ghanaian artistes for rating Nigerian musicians over Ghanaian acts.
The ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker in a twitter post which has been trending on most Nigerian websites, disclosed that he doesn’t see anything extraordinary about Wizkid, and does not understand why people hail him.
He added that he does not consider the Nigerian a superstar
“We are living a life where upcoming youth are watching people get surprised of my achievement because they don’t have the mind to elevate themselves.
“I don’t see Wizkid to be too much for me but most of my Ghanaian colleagues see him like that.
“But I want Wizkid to see me and be like ‘wow’ not otherwise because what is talking is your pocket, property, investment.
“I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to be the best African artiste,” he said.
He further called on Ghanaian artistes to start respecting themselves and stop rating Nigerian artistes high above them.
The comments by Shatta Wale has got a lot of Nigerians raining insults on him.
However, a Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane came to the rescue of the Dancehall King after he showed his massive support for Shatta Wale in a twitter update directed at him.
He said “I stand by you my g @shattawalegh Real things we deal with … No Fake Hype!!!”
