Stunning Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro has claimed it is undesirable to draw a distinction between Glamour and Kumawood movies.
The movie actress cum producer was reported to have said she is ready and willing to join Ghana’s local industry popularly called Kumawood if the industry can meet some conditions.
Speaking with Berla Mundi on Glitterati, Yvonne Okoro bemoaned the class distinction between the movie industries in Ghana and said that movies were all about acting and you one does not need to be of a certain class in his/her private life to be able to fit into a movie scene which was all about make-believe.
The ‘Ghana Must Go’ movie producer, who is popularly known for her roles in English-speaking movies in Ghallywood and Nollywood said she will star in Kumawood movies should producers in that industry call on her for business.
“I was asked if I was willing to work in Kumasi and I told them it is about time we stop segregating between Ghallywood and Kumawood. I think they all serve their purpose but for me If I’m called and the money is good, the script is on point I will do it,” Yvonne said.
The Ghanaian award winning actress has starred in many movies in Ghana and has acted alongside some of Ghana’s best in the movie industry including working with Shirley Frimpong Manso, Joselyn Dumas and Yvonne Nelson.
