Astute radio presenter and host of Hot and Classic Showbiz review on Hot 93.9fm in Accra, Dr. Who, has advised organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to strengthen its research team.
Many music enthusiasts have heavily criticized the board of this year's Music Awards for not doing due diligence in the nominating process.
The most talked about being the revoking of hiplife/hippop music star, Teephlow's four nominations.
Speaking on the issue, Dr. Who revealed that the board is not to be blamed but rather the research team must be strengthened by adding certain experienced industry players:
"I wouldn't blame the board. They were misinformed by the research team. Though the research team has done a great job, the organisers must strengthen it",He noted.
Advocating for those to be added,Dr. Who mentioned industry players like Reagan Mends,Papa Loggy and Mr. Logic:
"Reagan Mends has managed the likes of the late Terry Bonchaka,King Ayisoba,Sherifa Gunu and a showbiz journalist, Papa Loggy is also an artist manager who has managed Obrafour, Daasebre Gyamenah and also an event organizer, Mr. Logic is one of the revelations behind the elevation of dancehall music in Ghana...These are young and experienced industry players who should be added to strengthen the research team", Dr. Who noted passionately.
Dr. Who congratulated the board for the resplendent work done so far.
