Unibank Ghana Limited supported the promotion by donating the cash for the second prize while Japan Motors Trading Company Limited gave the car at a discount.
Winners from the fourth to the 50th position received the various prizes ranging from fully connected mobile phones and Onetouch re-charge units.
Management of GT, prior to the 2006 World Cup, launched the Onetouch love the colours promotion in May to increase its customer base as well as reward loyal customers. Speaking at the function Mr Haugen said GT would at the end of August 2006 launch its "GPRS" facility which would enable customers to access internet on their phones and also allow multimedia messaging services and download of ring tones and wall papers (screen savers). For the start, customers could access the Internet facility for free for about one month before they would be asked to pay for such services.
"All of these services are aimed at ensuring that we remain the most responsive mobile network so that we can satisfy the needs of our customers", Mr Haugen said.
Mr Haugen named other new services introduced by GT as the Onetouch call-me-back service and Onetouch Infoshop. He said customers' response to the promotion was tremendous as it attracted over 100,000 customers, who were all rewarded with bonus credit and "One4all" packages in bi-weekly mini draws.
He said beside the presentation of prizes to the 50 customers at the grand draw, any customer "who finds another ball after scratching a ball on any top-up card bought would have his or her credit doubled although the promotion has ended=94.
