Rocky Dawini Musician (Ghana)

Hailed as “Ghana’s Bob Marley” by England’s leading influential newspaper New Nation, Rocky Dawuni burst on to the African reggae scene in 1996 with his debut recording, The Movement. The debut album was released to rave reviews and growing praise in the US too! Anita met with this music icon.

Giselle (South Africa) Lebo checked out a classical theatrical piece, Giselle, from the Tshwane Dance Theatre. This was ballet with a lot of passion and madness translated into young love across the colour line. The production was choreographed by Moroccan-born Redha Benteifour.

Gerald Chukwuma - Artist (Nigeria) IK met up with Gerald Chukwuma, an award-winning artist who has gone from painting on canvas to painting on wood panels. Gerald’s philosophy is that colours are the only means of conveying visions or intuition which cannot be expressed through words.

Fareed found a Masai restaurant in the heart of Berlin, where he enjoyed some exquisitely prepared traditional African food.

Fareed’s next mission in Berlin was to meet up with the beautiful Dennenesch Zoudé, who trained to be an actress at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York and engaged in singing classes under some of the best voice trainers in the city. Fareed found out what makes her the best at what she does.
