New football stars (Ghana)
Anita met up with the Ghanaian Football team, popularly known as the Black Stars. One of the people she spoke to was the player that scored against Burkina Faso at the CAF 2009/2010, striker Andre Ayew. She also got to spend some time with the team captain and goalkeeper, Richard Kingson and former coach Oti Akenteng. We know Anita can’t wait for the 2010 FIFA soccer world cup to support her team!
Ghana loves Haiti Concert
Ghanaians showed support and solidarity to those affected by the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on 12 January 2010. Ghanaians from all walks of life got involved and gave a helping hand by hosting a music concert. Anita caught up with the organizers, Toni Shuping, Moses Opoku Agyemang and K.O.D. Performers on the day included Paapa Yankson, Kwabena Kwabena, Pat Thomas and Ben Brako. This was definitely a night to remember.
Tayo( Fashion designer)
Known as one of the world's most admired destinations, Rodeo Drive conjures up images of money, movies, moguls and mega shopping boutiques. Thembi met up with a designer making headlines on Rodeo Drive. Growing up in Nigeria and the UK, Tayo’s knowledge of style came from his father who taught him that ‘appearance makes perception’. Fashion has become an art and a way to identify and express oneself. Tayo has brought in a more relaxed, yet slimmer and fitted profile to his garments, providing a more modern silhouette. Watch out for this trendsetter.
Sauti Sa Busara (Zanzibar)
Gaetano enjoyed the street parade at the Sauti za Busara (Words of Wisdom) festival featuring a beni brass band, the umbrella women, dancers, stilt walkers, acrobats and excited locals. This is an annual international festival celebrating East African music taking place in February, in Zanzibar. The focus may be on East Africa, but countries from further afield gave some great acts too. Young prodigy Sekou blew up the place with his dynamite kora playing and Chidi Benz aka King Kong was one of the most creative artists in the bongo flava, the Swahili hip hop genre. For the first time ever, Zanzibar's new all-female Tausi Taarab orchestra brought their classical style music to the arena. The festival venue was filled with colour, thousands of people, lots of stalls selling food and refreshments, music, art and fashion. Gaetano had a fabulous time!
Havanna Travel
Life in Cuba is interactive; it is about being out and about at whatever time of day, socializing and partying. Lebo checked out Havanna was blown away by the art, old architectural buildings, classic vintage cars and the Cuban cigars that are celebrated and enjoyed worldwide. Lebo ended the very long and hot day by visiting Havana's famous promenade, the place to be for everyone from courting couples, to practicing musicians, tourists and the obligatory fisherman.

Launch of Beat99.9 FM (Nigeria)
The Beat 99.9FM launched their station on Victoria Island in Nigeria on 19 February in style! The station is a full-service station broadcasting entertainment news, topical news, traffic, sports and weather information. All these elements are rolled into our hot and exciting breakfast, afternoon and evening drive time shows. The station’s on air personalities and great artists such as Sauce Kid, Lynxx, Show Dem Camp,(Soc), General Pype, Sasha and DJs including Jiggs (London's Choice FM). The Beat99.9 FM's DJ Caise and Donaeo entertained guests at the launch and had everyone on the dance floor.
Kite surfing competition
Fareed took part in a kite surfing beach competition held in Kenya. The locations was all about a white powder-sand beach, turquoise lagoon, cross shore, consistent winds, hot sun, flat seas, waves on the reef, professional friendly staff, great music and beach sofas. This annual charity event was organized by Prosurf Extreme and it has definitely become a fixed feature on the Kenya Sporting Calendar.
