Sulley, Menaye name Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Amakye Dede among their favourite GH acts

Ghanaian power couple consisting footballer Sulley Muntari and Miss Universe Ghana Director Menaye Donkor have listed rapper Sarkodie and dancehall acts Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy among their favourite Ghanaian musicians.

They made this revelation on Accra- based Starr FM Wednesday June 7. Speaking to Starr Chat host Bola Ray, the pair extolled Sarkodie’s longevity and ability to constantly “reinvent himself”. Sulley also lauded Take Over hitmaker Shatta Wale, as well as BET laureate Stonebwoy for putting Ghana’s name on the map.

Veteran highlife singer Amakye Dede was also spoken favourably of, by the couple, citing his timeless “Odo Handkerchief” as their favourite tune from him.

The tell-all conversation which made for great listening also gave listeners rare access to their philosophies regarding marriage, religion, success, public opinion, among other issues.

A former international model and past winner of Miss Universe Ghana, Menaye is also a philanthropist and mother to their son Jamal, whereas Sulley manages luxury garage 4FKMotorsport (Italy) aside playing football.
