Kumawood actor, Yaw Adu, popularly known as Sunsum, has criticized controversial socialite Afia Schwarzenegger for her remarks about the road accident involving actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin.
He argued that Schwarzenegger's demand for the Ghana Police Service to detain LilWin for the car crash that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old boy is misguided.
Sunsum insulted Afia and labelled her as an attention-seeker. He said the comedienne has always aimed at damaging reputations with her unnecessary comments on social media.
"I prefer not to speak about Schwarzenegger, but she is a foolish woman. We should disregard such persons and their opinions. She should be the one arrested for her past actions, not LilWin, who never intended to harm anyone with his vehicle. Why then is she making such allegations?
"As a celebrity, you might face difficulties someday, so when a peer is in trouble, it's better to offer support rather than criticism. Perhaps, she sometimes consumes tramadol, which affects her speech," he stated in Twi in a video posted by Express GH TV on their YouTube channel.
This follows Afia Schwarzenegger's request for a police drug test on LilWin to determine if he was intoxicated during the accident.
She has also demanded LilWin's arrest while the investigation continues and as the family mourns the loss of the young boy, Tawiah Ampomah, who died in the car crash.
LilWin's car accident occurred on May 25, 2024.
The collision occurred in front of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, where LilWin's Benz and another vehicle crashed head-on, resulting in injuries to him and two others.
All injured parties, including LilWin, were taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital's Accident and Emergency Unit.
Despite his injuries, LilWin attended the premiere of his new movie, "A Country Called Ghana," at the KNUST CCB Auditorium later that day.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating to ascertain the accident's causes and reach a resolution.
LilWin's management has pledged support to the bereaved family following the child's passing.
