Renowned Nigerian Hausa singer, Maryam Fantimoti has released a special campaign banger in honour of Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Fantimoti, known in Zongo and Hausa circles for her exceptional talent and melodios voice, recorded the campaign song for Dr. Bawumia for his impactful work as Vice President and his generous support to humanity.
The song titled "Bawumia Ikon Allah (Bawumia God's Wonders)" will premiere on Iqra Radio 103.7fm on the station's morning show on Monday, September 16, 2024.
The talented musician combines danceable beats and traditional Hausa drums with touching lyrics about the good works of Dr. Bawumia in the Zongo communities.
The music talks about many developmental projects Dr. Bawumia has championed for Zongos, especially in the area of education with a number of classrooms built for the residents.
Again, the song acknowledges Dr. Bawumia's passion for youth development and mentions the 40 brilliant but needy students from various Zongo communities who are currently in Cuba studying medicine through scholarship.
The singer commends Dr. Bawumia for his generous support to individuals and communities across the nation, constructing and renovating mosques among others.
Mariam Fantimoti, from a Nigerian background, is very popular in the Zongos, particularly among the Hausa fraternity.
She is also familiar with happenings in the Ghanaian Zongo community due to her closeness to them.
One of her most popular hit song which almost every Hausa-speaking person in Zongo can easily remember is "Jigida" meaning "beads".
