Aflao, (V/R) Aug. 10, GNA - Mensah Kwakukpuia, 20, unemployed, of Agbozume who constantly threatened to kill his father landed himself in deeper trouble when Police detailed to arrest him found plants suspected to be Indian hemp growing in front of his room.
Kwasikpuia was said to have told the Police he did not plant the suspected hemp, claiming that he found the shoots there and nurtured them to grow.
Mr Baba Moro, Assistant Superintended of Police In-Charge of Crime at the Aflao District Police Command told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the weekend that the Police had gone looking for Kwakukpuia on July 5, this year, following a report by Mr Atsu Toli, 65, that his son, Kwakupuia had threatened to kill him.
He said samples of the plant had been sent to the laboratory for examination.
Mr. Moro said Kwakukpuia, who would be put before the law court, told the Police that he smokes Indian hemp.
