The festive season this December has seen three major gospel concerts being held in Accra: Danny Nettey & Friends, Joyful Way’s Explosion of Joy and Cwasi Oteng & the FloRiva Inc concerts. Throughout the span of these concerts, gospel music lovers from the harbour city of Tema had to shift greater part of their daily movements to Accra in order to make the concerts and return afterwards. However, with one of Tema’s oldest annual gospel festival happening on this Saturday, January 1, 2011 as usual, the exodus is expected to change.

According to a reliable source, the 2011 edition of Hallelufesto will be a memorable one considering the level of commitment being relayed to organisers but various individuals and the anticipation growing among Christian arts and music lovers especially the TM folks. ‘Preparations are being made to stage a grand one for the New Year,’ the source further revealed.

The festival is schedule for this Saturday, 1st January, 2011, at the St. Paul Methodist Church, near TDC from 4pm prompt. Ministering in drama and choreography will be Potter’s Clay and in music are Treasured Possessions featuring Nii Okai, David Osabute, Glenn Barnes Yoosi and others. The special guest artiste billed for the festival is Cindy Thompson of 'Awurade Kasa' fame who is out with a new album, 'Jesus Wo Nkoa' for 2011.

Hallelufesto, from Halleluyah Festival, is a legendary Christian arts and music festival organised yearly in Tema to officially usher in every New Year in style. It has become a must attend festival over the years especially among the youth where talents are constantly being unearthed and nurtured. Nii Okai is a good example of a talent that was nurtured by the festival. Don't miss out on this event and when coming invite friends, family and loved ones as a means of fellowship and evangelism. It's free.....
