TGMA 2024: Your performance was disappointing - Afia Schwarzenegger blasts King Promise

Controversial socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has criticized artiste King Promise for his performance at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

She pointed out that King Promise's performance did not meet the standard of his previous shows, for which he is well-known.

Schwarzenegger described the rendition of his hit songs by the 'Terminator' hitmaker as poor and damaging to his brand as an artiste.

"Very disappointing performance, bad rendition of your own hit songs... King Promise, why? The terminator has been terminated!" she posted on her Instagram page.

King Promise's performance featured numerous dancers in all-white, enhancing his songs with glowing torches.

Dressed in a sleek black outfit with black trousers, King Promise performed renditions of his hits, including 'Terminator,' 'This Must Be Love,' 'Paris,' and more.

The artiste won three awards at the 2024 TGMA but did not receive the 'Artiste of the Year' award, which went to Stonebwoy.

The TGMA took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, 2024, celebrating musicians for their work over the past year.

In March 2024, the Ghana Music Award Academy Board announced the nominees for the 25th TGMA, with categories like Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.

The Ghana Music Academy Board, comprising professionals from the music industry, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers, ensures a diverse and comprehensive judging panel.
