Students of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) witnessed an epic display of fashion by the school's Department of Fashion Design and Technology.

The event held on July 20, 2024, was the celebration of the 27th fashion of the department and was celebrated under the theme "Timeless Elegance: 70 Years of Fashion Evolution."

It was a remarkable display of creativity, skill, and evolution in fashion.

The event celebrated the growth and achievements of the graduating students over the years, presenting an impressive array of designs that reflect both classic and contemporary influences.

As an alumna of the institution, I was honoured to be invited as an external assessor to my Alma Mata fashion show.

From my observation, the Takoradi Technical University final-year fashion show was a commendable event that highlighted the talent and potential of its graduating students.

The showcased collections were impressive and indicative of a promising future for these emerging fashion designers.

With continued support and opportunities, these students are well-positioned to make significant contributions to the fashion industry.

In terms of design quality, the works presented were of exceptional quality, meeting professional standards. The students exhibited strong technical skills, including precise tailoring, creative use of fabrics, and attention to detail.

Several pieces stood out for their craftsmanship and originality, worthy of prominent fashion shows such as Glitz Africa and Paris Fashion Week.

The show was well organized, with seamless transitions between segments.

The venue was appropriately set up to highlight the collections, and the overall presentation was polished and professional.

The models showcased the designs effectively, reflecting the intended aesthetics of each collection.

I would also love to applaud the final-year students' participation. The enthusiasm and dedication of these students were evident throughout the event.

They demonstrated a clear passion for their craft and a deep understanding of their individual design concepts.

This enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute to their future success in the fashion industry.
