"We are going to make it different this time around. We are going to create characters and also ensure that it is international" this was what the Music Director for Mentor 3 Godwin Williams, summed it up when asked how different Mentor 3 was going to be.

Audition for Mentor 3 started on Wednesday March 14 for aspirants in the Greater Accra Region and over 800 people applied. 14 people were selected for the finals on the last day of the audition. The 14 selected, were screened to 7. It was difficult for the judges to choose the 3 finalist since all the 7 had the potential to represent the Region. The production team as well as all concerned with Mentor 3 seems to have a different perspective for the program, aspiring it to be bigger and better than the first and second.

According to Lawrencia Duah, who was among the judges for the audition told this reporter that, an arduous task lies on the contestants of Mentor 3 considering the quality of contestants in Mentor 2. "We can also do R&B our way" Lawrencia added. The three selected best in the Greater Accra audition have completed their secondary school education and seem to have something doing.

Dela is a product of Mfantsiman Girls School and has been backing a band. Eric is a product of Odorgorno Secondary School and is practicing Sound Engineering and Timothy (Faya) a Liberian pleased the judges when he made a rendition of a Ga solo.
