TV3 launches Season V of Talented Kidz despite roaring challenges with Tutulapato

Despite the many challenges and inconsistencies with reports surrounding TV3 and the winner of Talented Kids Season IV Tutulapato, TV3 child reality show dubbed “Talented Kidz” was last Sunday launched at the studios of the network in Accra during the telecast which was attended by a very large and enthusiastic audience.

Twenty eight contestants, including one selected for the first time from Bolgatanga in the Upper East and another from Cape Coast in the Central Region, qualified to perform in their chosen talents over the next 13 weeks.

Seven contestants will be singing, six will rap, 10 will play on musical instruments and five will dance. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TV3, Augustus B. Dickson in performing the launch for the season five of the show, expressed satisfaction that the reality show had come to stay and was making positive impact on Ghanaian children.

The CEO continued that the show is a platform to for children between the ages of seven and 12, to unearth their talents and be guided through systematic support of grooming into stardom.

He urged parents of contestants to collaborate with the production team for a successful show.

The Head of Brands and Communication, Felix Dontoh said Talented Kidz is a show that recognizes the rights of children and will not compromise anything that will expose them to abuse, adding that the role of parents in post contest management was crucial.

He said winners of the show have their cash payments made through the bank as savings and made available to them only when they are of age.

Amy Appiah Frimpong and Benedict Yartey are the judges for the show.
