In the last 10 years, it has wowed television audience in their homes and communities and offered a unique platform to both new and established musicians in the country.

Being the country’s foremost live television weekend entertainment show, TV3’s Music Music has over the years played a significant role in the development of the country’s music industry.

Just as its tagline states, Music Music it's bigger! , it has evolved over the years to become a standard measure for similar live studio musical performances in its league.

Think of today’s big acts in the industry, they’ve all graced the stage of Music Music, which is set to celebrate a milestone in November this year.

Producer of the show, Prince Darkey confirmed to www.tv3network.com that the platform that was designed to entertain and unearth talents in the music industry will be celebrating a decade of artiste promotion and entertainment

“The achievement over the years has been remarkable. Until the advent of social media, Music Music offered unlimited opportunity to both new and established artistes to not only sell themselves to the country and beyond but also interact with their fans who join them live in the studios of TV3 ”.

He added that Music Music still remains one big stage where artistes introduce their singles to their fans, discuss projects they are working on and for some artistes who went on hibernation, it was a platform for them to launch a comeback

It is one hot free platform on television that artistes from all music genres sought after and still seek for their music. He said currently the desire to be on the show has soared.

“Musicians want the platform badly so you will be there and somebody will call you”.

For television viewers, their Saturday nights are never complete without watching Music Music, which swallows all their misery, especially the Crazy Dance segment of the show that ignites laughter.

Throwing more light on the show and how it is still promoting up-and-coming artistes, Mr. Darkey said one doesn’t need to have an album launched before he could be on the show.

He explained that fresh and upcoming artistes who were seeking a platform to launch their musical career fell on Music Music for that opportunity.

“If you have a single, there is an opportunity for you to rehearse with us on Fridays. We show you how to use the stage, how to position yourself on stage, synch with audience and to camera”.

Undoubtedly, this has been the hallmark of TV3’s Music Music over the years; something the young artistes who have appeared on the show have lauded the producers for.

“ You don’t get this kind of tuition in the studio you are recording from. Your manager cannot even tell you this. We will even advise you on costuming,” according to Mr. Darkey .

He added that aside Music Music, artistes also get the opportunity to feature on the station’s other entertainment platforms including Spotlight and the various reality shows .

As the show marks this significant milestone, the producers are promising a bigger platform for the country’s artistes.
