Ghana’s most watched English primetime television news, News360 on TV3, has been adjudged the Best Television Programme of the year 2016/2017 in the country.

News360, which has over the years stood tall in terms of rich, exciting news content and quality presentation, beat stiff competition from Joy News on Joy News TV, News Tonight on GhOne, UTV News on UTV and Premtubre Kaseabo on Adom FM to win the award at this year’s RTP Awards Saturday night.

The RTP Awards celebrate radio and television personalities and brands that inspire, entertain and shape our society.

The award firmly solidifies the position of News360, which is the flagship news programme of TV3, in the country’s television news business.

As the leader in the television landscape in Ghana, TV3 on October 31, 2016 unveiled the first ultramodern, multipurpose television studio in the country to give an impetus to its news and current affairs programming, especially News360.

Christened the News Hub, it set the stage for a new way of news presentation during News360 daily between the hours of 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm, giving TV audience a refreshing way of television news experience with international standards.

Alfred Ocansey, who was also adjudged the best TV male newscaster for the year 2016/2017 at the RTP Awards, co-presents News360 with fast-rising Natalie Fort.

Ms. Fort was in September this year honoured with Excellent Personality Merit Award for August 2017, having endeared the hearts of television viewers in the country within a short period.
