Take the 'payola' but play the song - Dr Who

One of the most respectable radio presenters of our time,Ebenezer Anderson aka Dr.who has cautioned radio presenters and Djs not to take payola from musicians without playing their song.

Dr.Who,who happens to be the host of the popular entertainment talk show,Hot and classic Showbiz review and host of ‘Hot Rush Hour’,a drive time show on Hot 93.9fm, was reacting to claims by former Daasebre Gyamenah’s manager,Papa Loggy that he dares radio personalities like Andy Dosty,Dj Black,Kwame Adinkra ,MikiDarling,Dr.Pounds to deny ever taken payola.

According to Loggy,what hurts him vehemently is the fact that they would take the payola without playing the song, citing their actions to be extremely disgraceful.

Dr.Who,who was also sharing his opinion on the issue,indicated that though he is not chirpy Papa loggy mentioned names ,its thievery to take payola without playing the song:

“I wouldn’t say we shouldn’t take payola.Payola serves as motivation and appreciation.But its thievery to take someone’s money without playing the song.If the song is not good don’t take the payola”,Dr.Who noted.

He continued “,we are role models.We need to respect ourselves.If the money is also not enough let the person know point blankly…don’t take the money and later tell the person because the money wasn’t enough it refrained you from playing it…No”.

The question many people are asking is,should payola be paid at all?
