Showbiz analyst, Smart Takyi Nixon, who is also a host on hedjorl3 online radio, has taken a swipe at MUSIGA, blaming them as partly responsible to the relatively poor performance of Ghana’s music and entertainment industry in general.

According to him, “the lack of unity in MUSIGA is crippling growth and the implementation of sound initiatives for the attainment of a vibrant entertainment industry.

He made this assertion on the newly launched entertainment morning show, “HOT GIST” on Spyderlee Entertainment TV, SET, the leading provider of quality entertainment news in Ghana.

He went further to indicate that, there are too many of singles being released by musicians here in Ghana and as a result does not make them competitive when it comes to performances and originality.

Using legends like Amakye Dede as an example, he stated emphatically that, legends like this have come this far as a result of their consistency and originality and will only advice musicians to emulate their brand.

Expressing her thought on “HOT GIST”, Hit FM’s female presenter Pamella Boateng also advised musicians to stay original to enable them build their career as they grow up in the music industry. She further added that, “if artiste do not stay original they will end up dead in their career and would not be recognized because their acts won’t sell and sail as they will want it to”.
