Tamale chief denies banning entertainment shows

The Chief of Tamale Dakpema, Naa Dawuni Alhassan,has denied suspending all entertainment shows within the city .

Starr News,earlier reported that following the several bloody clashes between supporters of two local artistes -Fancy Gadam and Macassion,in consultation with the police and military, the palace has suspended all concerts,video and musical shows.

Starr News'further indicated that a sub-Chief in-charge of entertainment in the community Mohammed Hafiz Abdulai Demanaa released the statement on behalf of the Chief.

To ascertain whether the chief has truly banned entertainment shows in the city,host of "Hot Rush Hour"drive time show on Hot 93.9fm in Accra,Ebenezer Anderson aka Dr.Who went up-closed via telephone with Dj Carlos of Filla Fm in Tamale.

According to DJ Carlos, the Chief has denied banning entertainment shows in the City:

"Dr.who, its true that there has been clashes between supporters of two local artistes,Fancy Gadam and Macassion but the Chief has never banned entertainment shows in the city",Dj Carlos told Dr.Who with much passion.

"In fact, Kalybos is coming to premier his "Amarkye and Dede" movie this weekend and Fancy Gadam will also be launching his new album on Saturday... we were extremely surprised to hear such a statement so we went to the chief palace to ascertain the truth of the matter which he told us that he never asked Mohammed Hafiz Abdulai Demanaa to release such a falsehood...thus he is surprised how Hafiz was able to release a press statement with the letterhead of the palace.So Dr.who, it is not true",Dj Carlos added.

Dj Carlos is the most popular radio presenter in the Northern Region .He has been working at Filla Fm for the past 15yrs and he's also an event organizer.
