Teflon Flexx is one of the fastest rising Ghanaian musicians who is about to take the music landscape by a storm. The Temale-based artiste, whose area of specialization include Hip-hop, Afropop, Dancehall and other notable genres, said he had always had the passion for music right from infancy.

Teflon Flexx, born Akaateba christopher, says he’s driven by a burning passion for music and this is what motivates him to pursue music in addition to his education. The former product of St Charles Minor Seminary cites Ghana's biggest artist, Sarkodie as his major influence - “Sarkodie has always been my musical idol because he has proven that music can be very successful and he has really taken Ghanaian music to places and It is always going to be a dream come true to perform with or on the same stage with Sarkodie and I know hard work will get me there, " he said.

Giving a background information about how his career started, the young artist said; he started doing music in 2013. Teflon Flexx has been performing on campus events(UDS- Wa Campus) whilst working to better himself since he started but says he "officially started music in 2018".

When asked who he sounded like the fast rising icon replied - "I'm not here to imitate anyone. I sound and copy myself and that's what's special about me."The singer illustrated the hard work he puts in his music which make him feel he would be one of the most sought after artistes in the foreseeable future.

He writes all his songs and has performed in some of the biggest shows in Wa, Tamale and Bolga.

During his leisure time, he does some research to augment his craft. He watches documentaries, listen to music and read as well.

On what he wants to achieve with his music, he said; "My goal is to be influentially successful with music globally and

I want to be known as the person whose songs you dance to in the club and the person you listen to when you are down and alone."

Teflon Flexx believes the current state of music needs sort of investments to create the right ambience for up and coming artists like himself. Perhaps that's why his favourite quote is, "If it must be done, it must be done well."

You definitely have to watch out for this dude, he has what it takes to put Ghana on the map.
