Tekno refuses nomination for Headies Next Rated Award 2016

Nigerian singer Augustine Miles popularly known as Tekno, has refused his nomination as Headies Next Rated Awards.

The artist took to his Instagram page to comment on the nomination saying “Next rated after how many years! Let’s be honest pls". The singer has since deleted the post and its ensuing comments.

The artist has been in the music industry since 2012 and was signed to the popular TripleMG label in 2013 after initially signing to K-Money Entertainment. He released his first single 'Holiday' featuring Davido in 2013, and has been making steady moves with songs like 'Wash', 'Where' and 'Duro'.

Tekno turned down the offer of his nomination as Headies Next Rated alongside Humblesmith, Aramide, and Ycee.

However, many feel that the artiste and his label, should have been nominated in Artiste of the Year category where he would have battled it out with Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Falz.
