'Telemo' may not win any award at 2016 VGMA - Gasmilla

With half of the year already gone, Gasmilla’s ‘Telemo’ under the music calendar is undoubtedly the most popular song soo far.

Of course with the success of Telemo, one would expect Gasmilla to be looking forward to winning awards at next year’s Ghana Music Awards but the Hiplife star thinks otherwise.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Gasmilla revealed why he doubts the single will even be nominated, according to him, Telemo was released in 2014 and was submitted at the last edition of VGMA and therefore may not qualify for the subsequent one.

‘’I released ‘Telemo’ in December 2014 and submitted to the VGMA board but it was not nominated because I was told it was not popular’’.

He further stated, ‘’I am not interested in any award now because I am enjoying fame and getting better gigs with the song. My fans singing ‘Telemo’ all the time is rewarding enough to me’’.

Gasmilla known for other hit songs such as ‘3 Points’, ‘Aboodatoi’ & ‘Letter To Parliament’ also hinted on his plans to release new songs as well as his album which is almost ready.
