Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has challenged the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to address the deliberate publication and circulation of false stories aimed at discrediting John Dramani Mahama by the New Patriotic Party
The president in a video shared by Nana Aba Anamoah on her X page spoke about how people intentionally published fake and incorrect information about his health, wife and past life before the 2008 general elections and beyond.
According to the president, he was accused of drug trafficking, and murdering his ex-wife among others, all orchestrated by persons from the opposition to create doubts in the minds of Ghanaians on his ability to execute his responsibilities should he be elected as president of Ghana.
Responding to the president, Nana Aba Anamoah dared the president to open up about how the NPP has also been publishing and propagating false stories about the National Democratic Congress’ presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
Her tweet read, “The President just detailed how fake, scandalous stories were shared about him in previous & upcoming elections by the opposition. It would have been nice to add how his party’s machinery also widely spreads wild false stories about John Mahama. That’s fair.”
