Last weekend witness the selection of twenty five (25) candidates for the semi-final stage of the all-important auditions of the much anticipated and most rewarding Season Three of The Challenge successful Reality Show. Before advertised time for the commencement of the process on auditions day one, Saturday August 13th 2011, the IMPC (Ring road branch) was flooded with several hundreds of smartly dressed young ambitious university graduates wanting to be part of the auditions. After waiting in winding queues to confirm their registration details, the applicants were put into groups for the first task of the day. With a minimum of 20 applicants in each group, they were moved into the various session labs for an online aptitude test. The number was further reduced as those who failed the aptitude test had to bow out. The rest were bused to the British Council for the second phase of the auditions. There, each of the applicants appeared before a three member panel for a rigorous interview session to further cut down the number.

Auditions day two was Sunday 14th 2011 and continued at the British Council. The applicants numbering 60 were split into ten groups and allowed a one hour brainstorming session to make a presentation of diverse subject areas.

During the presentation, the panel pitched members of a group against each other to know their weakest links, strongest contributors and their ability to work as a group. It was interesting how the panel tricked candidates to give out non performing group members unknowingly.

The panel had to be allowed a few hours to select the 25 semifinalists from the pack. And now the 25 will undergo another series of interviews and tasks to enable the panel shortlist the 12 finalist to start the television series.

The Challenge season three is brought to you by The British Council and TIGO in association with the Robert Gordon University and University of Westminster. It is proudly supported by SIC, IPMC, 3E Quantum, Gsocialize.com, GTV and powered by GH One Entertainment TV.
