Unilever Ghana limited, producers of Close Up toothpaste, and leading event company, Charterhouse, return this year with the second edition of the exciting ‘Close Up Salsa Fiesta’.
The second edition comes at a time when stimulating memories of the maiden edition in 2008 still linger on several minds. The most exciting dance festival and reality series on Ghanaian television, ‘Close Up Salsa Fiesta’, will commence on September 23 and will air for 15 weeks, before a climaxing event scheduled for January next year.
Salsa involves three main elements; the mind, body and soul. The mind to learn the steps, the body to make the moves and the soul to dance to the rhythm. These three elements fit with Close Up’s promotion of social confidence as a result of the powerful experience of fresher breath benefited from the toothpaste which gives users the confidence to go all out, take on the world and get intimate with others.
Salsa has shown great potential of assisting people to develop confidence and team building skills since most of the dance moves require partners to trust each other. It is also a great source of entertainment and a fun experience for both beginners and those who are already familiar with the dance steps.
This year, the ‘Close Up Salsa Fiesta’ will not only be limited to Accra, but will also take place in Takoradi and Cape Coast in the Western and Central regions respectively, and Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. All existing salsa clubs in these selected areas will be incorporated into this most exciting dance festival Ghana has ever seen.
Salsa enthusiasts and all fun-loving people are therefore encouraged to get out their dancing shoes and join in the fun by simply buying Close Up from any of the participating sales outlets (look out for press for more details) and win free salsa lessons from participating salsa clubs. It is bound to be a highly infectious fever so watch out.
