Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall Singjay, Ras Kuuku, in an exclusive interview with Blakk Senses on the Afrikan Train Show on Agboo 92.9fm in the Volta Region of Ghana made some revealing comments on his confirmation for the Maiden Edition of JaGhafest 2019. Speaking about his excitement ahead of the festival, he made some interesting comments.

“I feel so great to be part of this show. This is the first edition and to have Ras Kuuku on it, I think it’s a great move and I give thanks for that. My fans were so happy to hear that news. Working with people like Elorm Beenie, you should know how much work we are putting up there. With Samini, Epixode, Rudebwoy Ranking, etc you should know the kind of energy and fire we are bringing on to that stage. We are ready for it.” (Ras Kuuku)

The “Puom” King went ahead to reveal that playing on the same stage with Veteran root rock reggae singers, Sizzla Kalonji, Duane Stephenson shows how much blessings has been bestowed on them.

“Me talking today about Jaghafest, Sizzla Kalonji, Duane Stephenson on the same show, you should know the kind of blessing that Most High has poured on to us. It is history. It will forever remain in the mind of the youths and the generations to come. We will show the world that Ghana got it. It’s all about fire.” He intimated.

“I have also performed alongside Anthony B, Jah Mason, Norris Man among others in states here in Ghana. We have never changed since 2009. The same Ras Kuuku for real.” He recalled.

In his advice to the youth, the ‘Ghetto Youth President’ said, “I urge all the ghetto youths to love Jah, work hard and make money. Because without these three things, I don’t think you can have your peace of mind. Bless.”

Ras Kuuku is confirmed to be performing alongside Samini, Natel, Empire I, Epixode, Duane Stephenson, Rudebwoy Ranking, Shegah and more at the JaGhafest 2019 this Saturday, April 13, 2019.

JaGhafest is a coined term from “Jamaica Ghana Festival” where both countries would showcase their arts and culture, especially in music; this festival is expected to happen annually.

Born Kojo Kurankye on July 23, 1984 in Accra, Ghana, Ras Kuuku is known for hits songs like “Nokre”, “Adi3 B3 Kyia”, “Wo”, “Nwansina” just to mention a few.

Ras Kuuku was interviewed on the hottest reggae show in the Volta Region, “Afrikan Train” which highlights local and international reggae/dancehall artistes.
