Popular Ghanaian actor and comedian, Reindorf Doe, also known as Sergeant Dee, has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration for economic mismanagement.

During the launch of the "Unique Stars for NDC and John Dramani Mahama" campaign on June 23, 2024, in Accra, Sergeant Dee called on Ghanaians to vote against the NPP government in the upcoming elections.

He accused President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of failing to fulfill their promises, highlighting an incident involving former Minister of Sanitation Cecilia Dapaah, whose stolen money became a topic of discussion.

"The governance of the Nana Addo Dankwa-Bawumia administration has made us realize that they are wicked people, and the entire country is suffering. That is why we don't want to be selfish but instead be a voice for the people and the nation, to support John Mahama.

“Before Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came to power, he made certain promises. Today, we should ask ourselves whether he has kept his word.

“He assured us that he would not run a government of family and friends. Let's ask ourselves if that has been the case. He said he would protect the public purse, let's question where that purse is now. Perhaps we can find it under Cecilia Dapaah's bed,” he said.

At the campaign launch, the group's president, Big Akwes, and vice president, Christiana Awuni, also urged Ghanaians to support John Mahama in the 2024 elections.

They criticized the current administration for its handling of the country's affairs, accusing it of running a "family and friends" government and failing to protect the public purse.
