The first round of auditions for the 2010 Face of Legon beauty contest was held over the weekend for first year students of the University of Ghana. Several tens of adorable young ladies made their way to the SRC Union Building for a shot at the coveted annual search for a true female ambassador for young women of the University and their communities.
The girls kicked off the auditions with a photo shoot to test how photogenic they are, as well as to warm them up for the main interaction with the judges. The judges asked general questions to test the intelligence, eloquence and confidence of the girls. Scores from the judges would be cumulated and the best performing contestants would be selected for the grand finale of the competition on October 22.
There would be another set of auditions for the continuing students and other ladies who couldn’t make it to the first audition on Saturday, August 28. The venue for the auditions remains The SRC Union Building, near the Central Cafeteria. There are interesting prizes to be won, including laptops, a car and air tickets.
