In an interview with Blaq boy on GhOne Entertainment TV, Gasmilla revealed that even though he knew his song Telemo will get recognition, he didn’t expect it to travel very far the way it has.
He said; “I never saw myself doing anything like Telemo until capaster called, he was one of my boys from way back and he was an underground artist trying to reach the heights. He kept on pressuring me to record with him and I did, now see where we are.”
Gasmilla further revealed that, though Capaster was the inspiration behind the Telemo song, Capaster didn’t have faith in the song.
“Capaster told me that there’s no way Telemo is going to be a hit song, so if possible I should remove his verse from the song. I only laughed at him and we all laughed because from that studio, I just knew I had produce something special, Capaster was yet to see that.
“Few weeks later,Capaster called me expressing his excitement on how fast the song was exploding. I thought he was joking but it was true, Telemo was the new hit,” he said.
“I later called him to pull his legs, I asked him whether I should still go ahead to remove his verse from the song. It was very exciting to release that, because I didn’t ignore Capaster when he needed me has paid off.” He added.
