KiDi has stood to the defence of his former Lynx Entertainment labelmate, Kuami Eugene, insisting that the Rockstar's talent remains undimmed.

Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, KiDi was asked about rumours claiming that Kuami Eugene had lost his spark following his departure from Lynx Entertainment.

But KiDi explained, "It's less about Kuami Eugene and more about what the world is right now. Because Kuami Eugene's talent hasn't gone anywhere. I've said this on many platforms, in the last decade of Ghanaian music, if we're naming top 10 most talented artistes in Ghana, Kuami Eugene is in there. No bad blood, no animosity, no kind of any mentality will take that away from him.”

The “Touch It” singer pointed to the change in music structure as the cause of such rumours.

"It's not about Kuami Eugene, but more about how the system has changed. Me and Kuami Eugene came up in a system, it's a pretty different system right now. You have to be different," he explained.

Meanwhile, Kuami Eugene has faced increasing public scrutiny since parting ways with Lynx Entertainment, with critics questioning whether he has fallen under the ‘Lynx Curse,’ a phenomenon where the output of former Lynx signees do not usually match the commercial and critical highs of their label years.

KiDi' and Kuami Eugene rose together under Lynx, forming one of the most celebrated labelmates in recent Ghanaian music history, with back-to-back hits and multiple Awards won.
