Kumawood actress Mavis Adjei has shared that the love and welcoming atmosphere which used to be in the Kumawood industry is no longer existent.
Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix at the launch of the Ghana Music Awards in Amsterdam, Mavis Adjei expressed her disappointment with the current lack of ‘togetherness’ and love among cast and crew members.
She described how, during her active days as an actress, she was close with her colleagues and shared many things.
However, such harmony is not there nowadays.
"I’ve been on set recently, and the atmosphere wasn’t conducive, I was like ‘Where is the togetherness, where is the love’... you don't feel the vibe.
“Maybe that's how it is now, but during my time, it wasn't like that,” she stated.
Mavis Adjei advised actors on the importance of humility and respect, reminding them that the industry is ever-changing.
"If you feel big, that's no problem, but remember that when you came there was someone there and when you leave someone else will come," she remarked.
