Music producer Fred Kyei Mensah, also known as Fredyma, has expressed his support for musician King Paluta's participation in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign activities.

He believes that now is the perfect time for the "Aseda" artist to capitalize on his musical talents as the election season approaches.

Fredyma dismissed concerns that Paluta's career would suffer, pointing out that other politically active musicians continue to thrive.

In an interview with Okatakyie Afrifa on Angel FM, the veteran music producer stated, "King Paluta's song resonated with Bawumia's campaign, leading to an invitation to join them. Why be upset if they are seen performing together? This is his opportunity to make money. Some fear that political involvement will harm their careers.

"However, history shows that politically engaged artists often experience a surge in popularity and career success. Nacee, Rex Omar, Mercy Asiedu, and others were not criticized for their political affiliations."

This statement comes after a video was released showing King Paluta participating in campaign events with Vice President Bawumia.

The video, which quickly went viral online, showed King Paluta performing his hit song 'Aseda' alongside the vice president on a bus tour in the Ashanti Region.

In defense of his actions, King Paluta argued that accepting the Vice President's invitation was not an issue and labeled critics as 'empty-headed.'

However, his remarks sparked significant public backlash.
