The Glitz Style Awards night was indeed a night of pomp, glitz, and glitterati but the activities, with the actor, John Dumelo as the Master of Ceremony, surely went beyond the lifestyle focus of the show.
John Dumelo clearly put his political differences with some of the honoraries and guest and gave the audience the show of their life.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported on how he somehow managed to scoop a selfie from the Second Lady of Ghana and wife of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
With his usual boyish charm, Dumelo coyly stated that he would post the selfie online and expected Samira Bawumia to "like" the image.
For most Ghanaians, considering that Dumelo is a well-known strong supporter of the National Democratic Congress and the erstwhile president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, it was strange but a welcome sight to see him cozying up to Samira Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party.
But that was not his only way of cozying up to pro-NPP guests at the event grounds.
When Valerie Obaze Akufo-Addo took the stage, she jokingly asked Dumelo why he didn't introduce her properly. The actor wittingly replied, "...so that I can get an appointment".
However, Nana Addo's daughter insisted that it was because Dumelo could not pronounce her name, but the actor proved her wrong when he mentioned the name almost perfectly.
The cameras at the event grounds captured that short duration of chemistry between NDC's John Dumelo and NPP's Valerie Obaze Akufo-Addo.
And maybe we are wishing for too much at YEN.com.gh, but the two do look like they were made for each other.
