Ghanaian music duo Keche has broken their silence after failing to secure a single nomination at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, noting that they were a victim of 'mafia' by the body.

In the post made on X on March 15, the duo, made up of Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua, questioned the fairness of the process, suggesting they had been invited to the nominations event yet walked away with nothing to show for it.

"They invited us but zero nomination, herrr mafia Paa this," they wrote, using the term "mafia," a word commonly used in Ghana's music circles to refer to betrayal or bias in industry decisions.

Despite their frustration, the duo chose not to descend into a full-blown attack on the awards organisers. Instead, they pointed to their new song 'Selina' as their ticket back into the conversation.

"But still we kno bore. Our new song Selina will grab some next year. Amen," they added.

The post has reignited a familiar debate about the nomination process at Ghana's biggest music awards, with some fans and industry watchers backing Keche's sentiments.

Keche, known for hit songs including "Sokode", "Aluguntugui", and "No Dulling", have been a prominent fixture in Ghana's music scene for over a decade.
